Events
Throughout the year, Nile Academy STEM students take part in a variety of local, national, and international STEM events. These events offer hands-on experiences, collaboration opportunities, and the chance to showcase our students’ skills in robotics, coding, and innovation.
Highlighted Annual Events
- STEM Week: A week-long celebration of science and technology at Nile Academy. Students compete in challenges, workshops, and STEM-themed activities.
- FRC Kickoff: Our team attends the official FIRST Robotics Competition kickoff each January, where we learn the season’s game and begin building our robot.
- Hackathons: We organize and attend coding competitions and creative problem-solving events in collaboration with local universities and tech groups.
- Community Outreach: From STEM nights for younger students to robotics demonstrations at public events, we engage the local community with hands-on learning.
- Competitions: Students participate in FRC, FLL, VEX, and RoboCup tournaments at various levels, including qualifiers, regionals, and championship events.

August 12, 2025: STEM Summer Camp Kickoff – hands-on robotics and 3D printing workshops for middle schoolers.
September 8, 2025: Back-to-School STEM Fair – project demos, club signups, and parent-student info sessions.
October 15, 2025: FLL Qualifier Practice Match – scrimmage event for our junior robotics teams.
November 21–23, 2025: Ontario Tech Hackathon – selected students travel to participate in a regional coding challenge.
January 4, 2026: FIRST Robotics Competition Kickoff Event – start of the new FRC season!
