The Science curriculum has been developed to nurture the students’ sense of exploration and experimentation. Science class is providing the opportunity to use project based learning to enhance the curriculum. The Science curriculum is a rigorous test for the students and is designed to create a strong foundation both academically and technically, on which the curriculum can build.
Science Fair: Beginning in KG, Nile Academy students participate in our Science Expo that we hold at York University. Each student chooses their project topics from any area of science such as biology, chemistry, or engineering, to investigate, research, and experiment. Students then present their conclusions to a panel of judges and their classroom peers. In Grades 7 and 8, top projects are chosen to represent Nile Academy at University of Toronto, Toronto Science and Technology Fair, which can give them an opportunity to compete at the Canada Wide Science Fair.
