Art

Welcome to the Visual Arts Department!

Students at Nile Academy are having an amazing experience in Art class, as they aim to achieve their utmost potential, through challenging mediums, such as acrylic paints, water colours, pastels, wax, clay, pyrography tools, paper mache, Japanese glass beads, charcoal, art pencils, clay, and pine wood, etc.

In Ms. Aral’s art class, students enjoy lessons, as it provides them with a form for safe expression, imagination, exploration, communication, and exchange of cultural and historical understanding. Scientific research reveals how art classes strengthen the student’s ability to solve problems, whilst applying their critical thinking abilities.

Overall, students very much enjoy art class, as their wonderful masterpieces are displayed throughout the art classroom and the second-floor hallway. Hence, the school exhibits and presents the inspirational work of the students, where families, staff, and local community members can enjoy the ‘Art Gallery’ effect in the upcoming years!

Students learn to respect and show tolerance towards multicultural differences, whilst celebrating diversity and being open-minded. In light of the nature of art class, students learn that collaboration is key to success, which in turn further helps them with their communication, complex problem solving and leadership skills.

Through regular participation in the art class, students are learning how to regulate their self-confidence and self-discipline.
