We were pleased to welcome police officers as special guests at Nile Academy for an engaging career development talk with our Grade 10–12 students. The session offered valuable insight into careers in policing, including pathways into the profession, required skills, and the realities of working in law enforcement.
Beyond career information, the officers shared meaningful life lessons focused on personal responsibility, decision-making, and staying safe. Through real-life examples, they discussed the importance of making positive choices, avoiding risky situations, and surrounding oneself with good friends, emphasizing how strong peer relationships can play a key role in staying on a safe and successful path.
This informative and impactful session helped students better understand both career opportunities in public service and the importance of character, judgment, and community awareness.
