On Tuesday, April 29th, our Academic Law Club formed a mock trial team and headed to the Toronto courthouse to participate in the Ontario Justice Education Network’s GTA regional Mock Trial tournament. 16 schools competed, playing as Crown and Defense in a criminal trial scenario. Our defense team laid out a phenomenal case and was awarded the verdict. Our Crown team put up a formidable effort and, though they weren’t awarded the verdict, were commended by the judges for their efforts. We recognize and appreciate all their hard work.
