Our Grade 2 students explored the outdoors through a series of nature walks as part of our Water and Air unit! We observed how living things in the forest like trees and fish depend on water and air to survive. Students learned why air is essential for breathing and how water supports all life on our planet. Through immersive learning, we experienced wind using our senses, what it feels like, sounds like, and even smells like! Over several days, we noticed how wind and water changed depending on the weather, helping us understand their importance and impact on our environment. It was a meaningful, hands-on learning experience, and our students had an amazing time connecting with nature.
