Nile Academy > News > Nile Academy COVID-19 Protocol & Precautions

Amidst the continuation of in-person classes, the academic school year for 2020-2021 is looking quite different in comparison to previous years. Nile Academy has been following our COVID-19 reopening plan for the duration of the school year thus far, in conjunction with abiding by the rules provided by Toronto Public Health.

Some of the primary changes included within our reopening plan include:

  • PPE provided to all students and teachers as needed.
  • Daily screening for all students before being admitted to class.
  • Separate entrances and lunches for Elementary and High school.
  • Conducting virtual presentations via Zoom for holidays and celebrations rather than gathering collectively.
  • New protocols for staff and students who show any or all symptoms of COVID-19, or have any relation to someone showing symptoms as outlined by Toronto Public Health.
  • Social Distancing guides within hallways and entrances.
  • New handwashing regimens built into the daily routine.
  • Enhanced sanitizing and hygiene practices, especially for high contact surfaces.

Additionally, Nile Academy is providing an online learning option for those who prefer to learn remotely. Whether it is due to having a high-risk family member or simply as a precaution, we want all of our students and families to feel safe within their learning experience. Online learning is done through Zoom and Google Classroom to ensure that the student is fully involved within the classroom environment.

If you have any further questions about our COVID-19 protocols and precautions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 647-748-6453.
